Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Fern Hospitality and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be price comparison. You would join a small organisation of about 129 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to supplier orders at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support supplier orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
