Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Meridian Hospitality is a hospitality company in Des Moines with restaurants, rooms and catering. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to food costs at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support food costs. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
