Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Chicago, IL)

Clearpath Bridge Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Chicago. We are hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to take on price comparison. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to claims at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support claims. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
