Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Chicago, IL)

Lumen Forge Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Chicago, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would join a large organisation of about 381 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to claims at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support claims. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
