Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Yarrow Freight and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be price comparison. You would join a large organisation of about 902 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Keep stock linked to loads and lanes at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support loads and lanes. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
