Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Chicago, IL)

Lumen Amber Early Learning Group is an early-learning provider in Chicago, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would join a small organisation of about 24 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Keep stock linked to classroom supplies at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
