Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Chicago, IL)

Silverline Wren Freight is a Chicago logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to carrier rates at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support carrier rates. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
