Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Chicago, IL)

Harborlight Ember Housing is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. The job centres on price comparison for maintenance stores, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 682 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Keep stock linked to maintenance stores at sensible levels. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support maintenance stores. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
