Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Charleston, SC)

Harborlight Orchard Freight Associates is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. The job centres on price comparison for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 819 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to dock schedules at sensible levels. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Charleston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
