Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Lumen Vale Manufacturing and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be price comparison. You would join a small organisation of about 161 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to work orders at sensible levels. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support work orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
