Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Birmingham, AL)

Northwind Cobalt Construction is a Birmingham contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need a Purchasing Coordinator to lead our price comparison. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to permits at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support permits. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
