Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Austin, TX)

Bluepeak Wren Freight is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. The job centres on price comparison for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 262 people based in Austin. What you will do • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to claims at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support claims. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
