Purchasing Coordinator - inventory replenishment (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Vale Housing is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. The job centres on inventory replenishment for rent assistance, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Collaboration with local agencies is constant. What you will do • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Keep stock linked to rent assistance at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support rent assistance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
