Purchasing Coordinator - inventory replenishment (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Lumen Sable Press and adding a Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be inventory replenishment. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to bindery work at sensible levels. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support bindery work. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
