Production Supervisor - shift supervision (Oakland, CA)

Summit Ashton Foods is a Oakland food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Production Supervisor to take on shift supervision. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Report daily on output, downtime and ingredient orders. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. What we are looking for • Firm, fair and calm. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. • Comfort with production metrics. Nice to have • Lean or Six Sigma training. • Experience with ingredient orders. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
