Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (San Diego, CA)

Bright Vista Press is looking for a Production Supervisor. The job centres on scheduling and staffing for proofing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 646 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Report daily on output, downtime and proofing. • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. What we are looking for • Comfort with production metrics. • Firm, fair and calm. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. Nice to have • Lean or Six Sigma training. • Experience with proofing. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
