Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Northwind Manufacturing and adding a Production Supervisor whose main responsibility will be scheduling and staffing. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Report daily on output, downtime and tooling. What we are looking for • Comfort with production metrics. • Firm, fair and calm. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • Lean or Six Sigma training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
