Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (remote)

Lumen Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Birmingham plant. We are hiring a Production Supervisor to take on scheduling and staffing. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Report daily on output, downtime and press runs. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. What we are looking for • Firm, fair and calm. • Comfort with production metrics. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. Nice to have • Lean or Six Sigma training. • Experience with press runs. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
