Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (remote)

Foxglove Beacon Press is looking for a Production Supervisor. The job centres on scheduling and staffing for bindery work, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Report daily on output, downtime and bindery work. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. What we are looking for • Firm, fair and calm. • Comfort with production metrics. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. Nice to have • Experience with bindery work. • Lean or Six Sigma training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
