Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (Providence, RI)

Northwind River Press is a printer and publisher in Providence serving local and national clients, and we need a Production Supervisor to lead our scheduling and staffing. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Report daily on output, downtime and bindery work. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. What we are looking for • Firm, fair and calm. • Comfort with production metrics. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. Nice to have • Experience with bindery work. • Lean or Six Sigma training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
