Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (Detroit, MI)

Summit Maple Manufacturing is looking for a Production Supervisor. The job centres on scheduling and staffing for tooling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Report daily on output, downtime and tooling. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. What we are looking for • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. • Comfort with production metrics. • Firm, fair and calm. Nice to have • Lean or Six Sigma training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
