Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (Detroit, MI)

Redstone Sable Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Detroit plant, and we need a Production Supervisor to lead our scheduling and staffing. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Report daily on output, downtime and bindery work. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. What we are looking for • Firm, fair and calm. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. • Comfort with production metrics. Nice to have • Lean or Six Sigma training. • Experience with bindery work. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
