Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (Des Moines, IA)

Nova Amber Press produces print and digital publications in Des Moines. We are hiring a Production Supervisor to take on scheduling and staffing. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Report daily on output, downtime and press runs. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. What we are looking for • Firm, fair and calm. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. • Comfort with production metrics. Nice to have • Experience with press runs. • Lean or Six Sigma training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
