Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (Chicago, IL)

Ironwood Lantern Medical is a Chicago company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring a Production Supervisor to take on scheduling and staffing. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Report daily on output, downtime and production lots. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. What we are looking for • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. • Firm, fair and calm. • Comfort with production metrics. Nice to have • Lean or Six Sigma training. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
