Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (Boston, MA)

Summit Junction Press is looking for a Production Supervisor. The job centres on scheduling and staffing for press runs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 57 people based in Boston. What you will do • Report daily on output, downtime and press runs. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. What we are looking for • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. • Firm, fair and calm. • Comfort with production metrics. Nice to have • Experience with press runs. • Lean or Six Sigma training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
