Production Supervisor - safety and training (Des Moines, IA)

Bright Vista Press produces print and digital publications in Des Moines, and we need a Production Supervisor to lead our safety and training. You would join a large organisation of about 980 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Report daily on output, downtime and press runs. What we are looking for • Comfort with production metrics. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. • Firm, fair and calm. Nice to have • Experience with press runs. • Lean or Six Sigma training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
