Production Supervisor - line performance (remote)

Cedar Beacon Press is a printer and publisher in Birmingham serving local and national clients. We are hiring a Production Supervisor to take on line performance. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Report daily on output, downtime and proofing. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. What we are looking for • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. • Comfort with production metrics. • Firm, fair and calm. Nice to have • Lean or Six Sigma training. • Experience with proofing. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
