Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Nova Ashton Banking Services and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be timekeeping audits. You would join a small organisation of about 172 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
