Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (San Jose, CA)

Harborlight Bright Financial Group is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on timekeeping audits for vendor spend, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
