Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Sacramento, CA)

We are growing our team at Nova Junction Construction and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be timekeeping audits. You would join a large organisation of about 335 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
