Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (remote)

Rivermark Ember Construction is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on timekeeping audits for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
