Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (remote)

Stonegate Iron Construction Partners delivers building projects for owners across the Portland region, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our timekeeping audits. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
