Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Kansas City, MO)

Highbridge Pike Construction is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on timekeeping audits for subcontractor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 114 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
