Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Indianapolis, IN)

Fernwood Beacon Staffing is a Indianapolis staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on timekeeping audits. You would join a small organisation of about 30 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
