Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Houston, TX)

Stonegate Beacon Staffing is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on timekeeping audits for temp assignments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
