Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Houston, TX)

Fernwood Vale Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Houston, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our timekeeping audits. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Houston. • We reply to every applicant.
