Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Pine Financial Partners and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be timekeeping audits. You would join a small organisation of about 32 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
