Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Corner Construction and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be timekeeping audits. You would join a small organisation of about 154 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
