Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Northwind Cross Banking Services and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be timekeeping audits. We promote from within and train well. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
