Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Savannah, GA)

We are growing our team at Cedar Ember Staffing and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be multi-state payroll. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Savannah. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
