Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Savannah, GA)

Fernwood Beacon Staffing Partners is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on multi-state payroll for timekeeping, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 942 people based in Savannah. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Savannah, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
