Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (San Jose, CA)

Fernwood Beacon Financial serves customers across San Jose with accounts, loans and payments, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our multi-state payroll. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
