Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (San Diego, CA)

Greenridge Nest Staffing Partners is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on multi-state payroll for temp assignments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 11 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
