Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (San Diego, CA)

Nova Fox Construction Group delivers building projects for owners across the San Diego region. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on multi-state payroll. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
