Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Reno, NV)

Harborlight Sable Staffing Group is a Reno staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our multi-state payroll. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
