Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (remote)

Amberfield Harbor Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Grand Rapids, and we need a Payroll Specialist to lead our multi-state payroll. You would join a small organisation of about 111 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
