Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Maple Staffing and adding a Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be multi-state payroll. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
