Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (remote)

Amberfield Rook Staffing is looking for a Payroll Specialist. The job centres on multi-state payroll for timekeeping, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Little Rock. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
