Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Oakland, CA)

Amberfield Pine Staffing is a Oakland staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on multi-state payroll. You would join a large organisation of about 283 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
