Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Louisville, KY)

Northwind Nest Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Louisville region. We are hiring a Payroll Specialist to take on multi-state payroll. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
